This body of work was curated by the idea of visual expressionism. I found myself pushing the limits of analog photography and exploring the process of chemical experimentation. Inspired by the work of Ellen Rogers and Rosamond Wolff Purcell, I became interested in the idea of balancing the juxtaposition of mystery and subject to create an illusion within my pieces. These were then fused into my own work, where I manipulated my film through; double exposures, light leaks, boiling, freezing, burning, bleaching, and a variety of chemicals. Uncertainty is the overall emotion that pervades each image from conception to the interpretation of the viewer.
